That is a great looking bike, I hope you hang on to this one longer then your last few bikes!!
I can't promise anything but I will try harder this time... the VStrom was an experiment, great little bike but I prefer a heavier touring bike since that's most of what I do... the VStrom is a great bike and I can see why so many have them.. but, I just kept wanting another Super Ten and when they upgraded it, they got me hook line and sinker.

Joe what bags on the bike? Have U adjusted the valves on the old S10? How hard was it?
The wife gave me her blessing to BUY a new bike. I'm looking. Dealers have new left over's 12 & 13. Price from 1150 to 1299.

They're the Givi Trekker Outbacks. It was a cheaper option than the Jesse bags and I wanted top-loading. They seem pretty sturdy. It rained on my way back yesterday and no leaking but it wasn't really much of a rain so not a good test.

I was REALLY tempted to jump on this one at Niehaus - the white is a great color on this bike and lots of extras.

I never checked the valves on the previous bike but they're always going to be involved so just one of those things, I've heard the cam chain tensioner is the worst part of it due to the design but a drill press or vertically mounted clamp helps you get it into the 'install' position. The check is at 26k miles so I shouldn't have to worry about it for 26 years.. LOL

Thanks, still looking. Not crazy about white. Like team blue color. Moto Guzzi has Army Green for 2014.
Dealers= trade in? sure, what do u have 04 ST1300. Miles=160,000 Sorry were not interested, in your trade in. So far all the dealers expressed the same.

Hey Joe, nice bike. We are looking at the Tenere for an ST replacement someday. Will be good to hear your long term comments. I do hope this one is a keeper.

I'm anxious to hear more of your impressions of the 2014 and how it compares to the previous models. I'd especially like to know about the ergos (i.e. bar sweep, wind protection, etc...). Some have said that the bars still need a riser and that the cables seem shorter???? I'm leaning toward a 2014 with all of the upgrades but I love the white ones that are priced to leave a lot of room for farkles.

Go ride and keep posting :D

Great looking bike, Joe. And like a lot of others, I really like the color. It will be interesting to hear your impressions after you've got a bunch of miles under your belt.

Take mine for a ride while at FerrySTOC - I doubt you make it home without serious purchase commitments. Then, you will know why Joe and I are confused about the meaning of st-owners. Super Tenere sure fits that name nicely.:)
