Well, not much 'joy' from the therapist - still in 'behave yourself' mode (translated no riding) for at least another three weeks. At least the brace got cut down from a full arm brace to just a hand brace. Everything looks good just not at the speed I'd like it to happen! :D

Hang in the UP and hope you can make your ride later in the year. Wish you were on the horse in OH but maybe the ST1500 will get you there?! Take care.

Well, I took a little ride Saturday as my Canada trip is rapidly approaching.

http://www.unclephil.us/DayRide20180707.htm

Not as good as I hoped, but at least I can pull in the front brake lever and operate the throttle without too much drama.
And when I get back, then I'll get the other hand and elbow repaired on August 17th.
The surgeon says it will be 6 to 12 months before it is 'as good as it's gonna get'
so I am hoping for some more improvement along the way.

Well, Friday it's back to the repair shop to get the left hand and the left elbow repaired. I'm going for a 'twofer' since they both need work and I'll be knocked out anyway. The right hand survived the Canada trip without too much drama except for hitting a frost heave at speed that yanked the handlebars out of my hands. If all goes according to plan, I should be able to ride by the time of the BRG without taking the ST2500. At least that's the plan! :D

Smart thinking on the twofer.

Hopefully you are able to take a break from your bionic repairs for a long time after this upcoming enhancement.

Well I made it out of the repair shop last night and got a soft cast from the ends of my left fingers past the elbow. The block is wearing off and the pain meds are a little less than what I had hoped for. But it's a road I've had too much practice on and nothing close to the pain of a knee replacement! ;-)

Hang tough UP. It’ll get better as you well know. Know what you’re talking about with knee replacement.

Sorry you had to undergo surgery but we should all be thankful that many things are ‘fixable’ vs times in the past when they weren’t. Hope you heal quickly!
