Since I knew today would be the last chance I will get to ride for probably the next six months, I rode to one of my favorite places to eat.
Here's what a real double bacon cheese burger looks like -

and I had to have a little sweetening to finish it off proper -

A Real Chocolate MilkShake.jpg

This is not the place to be in a hurry as everything is cooked fresh to order.
And as I've said before, their 1/2 lb double is two 1/2 lb patties of hand patted meat specially seasoned.
It's a heart attack on a plate, but you go with a big smile on your face!

WOW! A meal to die for! (I meant that in the best possible way, Unc!)

I've never seen a meal of such riches out this way. Talk about conspicuous consumption! And the bacon looks perfect! I could handle that but instead of walking back to the bike I'd probably have to walk back to wherever I started the RTE!

And what is so nice is that the restaurant happens to be located on some mighty fine riding roads.

A bit of interesting history -

Frank Mars - of Mars Candy fame - used to ride the train from his estate up north (Illinois) to this little village.
He got off there and visited his massive farm - Milky Way Farm - that was located nearby and where he eventually moved to.
When his farm buildings were destroyed by a fire, he built them all back in stone.
I think his original house and a lot of the out buildings still exist.
From what I have been told, he also passed out candy bars to the local children during the Great Depression.

Franklin Clarence Mars - Wikipedia

The article says 'Pulaski' but it is actually 'Lynnville' - which had a small train station. As with typical media, they give the nearest decent size city. ;)

Was that at a "Royal Burger" , where the cooks squeeze the patty into the correct shape , using their arm-pit ?
Nope, but you can watch them cook it if you like cause the griddle is right there in the open.
Notice I said 'hand patted' not 'arm pit pressed'. ;)

Thank goodness.
I was afraid Phil was going to show us pictures of his shoulder replacement surgery.

UP,

What is the NAME and address of this wonderful eating establishment?

:bluegw: :usflag1:
Soda Pop Junction In Lynnville, TN (highway 129 off exit 27 I65 - Don't worry, once you cross the railroad tracks, you'll see it to the right. Lynnville only has one row of buildings - population less than 300. ).
It would be a nice 'day ride' from where you are.
BTW, there just happens to be a Colonel Littleton store next door -
