Pulling a trailer with the STeed

Hey Mellow, I was in daytona week and half ago and i seen a guy on a 1200LT with that bag on the back. caught him at a lite and told me it was'nt for clubs but clothes and stuff. It kinda rocked back and forth and stuff.
did not look to impressive.
I am kicking around the idea of having a aluminum tube wheel unit with
two small independently sprung wheels made that will carry one of these:

This way the unit could be loaded in the house or garage, rolled out and
locked on the wheel unit, then rolled right into a hotel or camp area leaving
the wheel unit attached to the bike.
My needs: for example, I spoke to a member in Clearwater today, would be a
great ride if I could load up his finished seats and head out for an all day ride
to hand deliver them. I have had this opportunity a lot, but need a way to
safely carry a bulky, light load. Would also come in handy if I can make a
decision on which STOC event to attend

That's the one and a Sportster only weighs about 540 lbs not 900.
Aren't those luggage wheels for dragging the bag when its off the bike?
I think it's a container made for checking golf clubs on an airplane, hence the little skate wheels. The motorcycle part of it is just the bracket that mounts it to the receiver hitch.

Don't think I could see myself with one of those. If it is a nice enough day to golf, it is definately nice enough to ride.
And if I was already on the bike, it would be very hard to stop at the golf course.

Wow - Never my intent to start a Golf vs Riding debate - there isn't one... Just looking to intertwine my two passions - Enjoy an excellent ride to an outstanding Golf Course, one perhaps I wouldn't drive my car to as it's too far... "But just niiiiiiiiiice on my STeed" Logical process, in my mind...
Next thing ya know, you'll ask how to trailer a boat :-o

I havn't tried the ST but I have pulled trailers behind XS1100's 500's and my wing things. If your handy you can make a hitch for pennies - if not you will pay gobbs of doe to get some name brand.

I have a light (100#) trailer that was made here in Wisconsin. Basically the body is a sears plastic car top carrier bolted onto a frame. I paid less than $700 assembled and pulled it with my wing without any problems. Now I am looking for a suitable hitch for my ST1300. Any suggestions would be a big help.
