Since dealer fees are true of nearly every single new vehicle sold that's not really unique. May as well add on tax and license fees. Which added to any other vehicle in comparisons jacks up their OTD prices as well. You forgot all of the dealer fees to be added on.
And throw in a couple of tattoo's and you are at $30KSince dealer fees are true of nearly every single new vehicle sold that's not really unique. May as well add on tax and license fees. Which added to any other vehicle in comparisons jacks up their OTD prices as well.
It's a badge (or name) "tax". Same as with bmw and Duc.Beak or no, $26k+ for that weeny thing is waaayyyy too much for what you get, engine aside. That $ is GW territory. Yikes.
Having followed the Hoka Hey in general and about 8 people I personally know who are riding it, can I opine that it seems like mechanical issues were encountered by most, if not all, riders. Some suffered multiple breakdowns of the same, or multiple, parts and lost considerable riding time at one Harley dealer or another. Perhaps mechanical repair ability is one of the characteristics needed to finish?First rider to arrive at the Hoka Hey challenge ending checkpoint is riding a Pan American. Except for a fuel pump he replaced on side of road in north Texas it seemed to be a good choice to ride for the last week and a half across the country on primary two lane roads .
And I cannot help but notice they all started on Harleys. Just sayin'.I agree on your comment on the numerous mechanical breakdowns , seems lot of riders were not capable of some simple repairs . Lot of the bikes started with high mileage which didn’t help with rally reliability.
Ain't no Harley dealer gonna help with sponsorship if Honda's show up.And I cannot help but notice they all started on Harleys. Just sayin'.
