Where did you ride today?

I needed to rotate the gas to some fresh non-ethanol and a big shot of MMO into the tank today so the Black Pearl got rode a few miles. Just out taking tag pictures around town but it's up to 432,619 mostly easy miles. Still purrs like a 20 year old rode hard and put away dripping wet ST1300. The guy with the straight pipes that pulled up next to me at the light was lucky I wasn't playing around today. HAHA

Finished bleeding the brakes on the FJR and did a 150 mile test ride over Guanella Pass. (11669 ft). Left the house at 07:30 and was back at 11:00 hrs. Did not take any pictures. Pictures shown are from my file pictures of a previous ride. Guanella is one of my favorite short morning rides.

Today the morning temps were just right, 65 degrees at 07: 00 with not a cloud in the beautiful blue Colorado sky. I got Mrs. H settled in her recliner and she assured me that I could be gone for 4 hours with out worry. So at 07:30 the V-Strom 650 and I headed out for Deckers Corner for a mid morning cup of coffee. 110 miles round trip and I was home at 11:00 before the day's heat. Also I was headed home when the rest of the city was headed over and down to the river. Wonderful ride, and got myself recharged for the coming week. Did not take any pictures as I was enjoying the curves too much today. Pictures are from my file photos.

Hey! I also had lobster for lunch. A bit hot to ride... though I have gone for a ride in these temps before. Heat index is 103*F. My son and wife went with me. I had the lobster and shrimp pasta, my son had lobster and shrimp, my wife had shrimp.

I had to go pickup Chris's prescription in town, so I pick it up, then took off east on Hwy 14, out of Cedar City. Then jumped on Hwy 148, that goes through Cedar Breaks NP, then off on Hwy 143, past Panguitch Lake and into Panguitch, where I hit US89 south, and rode back to Hwy 14 and back to Cedar City. A total of 147 miles. No pictures. :(
