Where did you ride today?

Was a really windy day today. But temps were between 55*F-58*F so I went for a ride anyway. It was either a headwind or tail wind for most of the ride so I guess that evens out the effects on mpg. Rode 50.2 miles today.
I noted that my annual miles as of today ended up right at my birth year... 1955. Saw several dead deer on the sides of the road. That reminded me that I also saw many dead deer on the sides of the road when I rode to Pella. NONE of them got up and jumped in front of me when I passed. I feel lucky about that! Their living friends decided to stay away.

Needed to GO RIDE today and also needed a coffee break. So I rode back down to Deckers Corner up over Rampart Ridge and down along the North Fork of the South Platte River. Great twisties and very nice scenery along the river. Today I rode my V-Strom. but the interesting thing was I saw a Waymo driverless van driving down the Freeway I-225. My first instinct was to give it a large berth and stay away. But as I got closer I saw it had a human driver that was awake and holding the steering wheel. Coffee as usual was good but expensive. Another 110 miles mostly great riding.
