Looks like the Naciemento-Ferguson road you were on. I recognize the view from a vacation trip we took on it some years back. Went from the coast inland to Fort Hunter Liggett.

Rode another 33 miles today. Planned to visit the GF of my friend who pass away in Dec to offer condolences. I was out of contact with him starting a week after meeting with him and no one told me he had passed that next week after. I know his GF is manager at a Donutland so rode past there but she wasn't in. NO, not MY GF. My wife also plans to stop by there sometime this week for the same reason.

I plan to keep riding every day it doesn't rain just to keep me ahead of @ardykay54 as long as possible. Severe thunderstorm approaching now with hail and lightning and enough rain to fill my 2 rain barrels that I just put out today. I know it won't be long before Russ zooms past my miles count... in addition to several other riders who enter their miles in their profiles. I am, however, amazed that I am still in the top 10 (no. 7 right now) in the annual mileage list since I am usually way down the list by now. I just scoped out an 85 mile ride to the south and west of home that can easily become 105 miles just by jumping south to the next county highway. Both those highways are squiggly roads with some curvy hills thrown in for good measure. I always have to ride straight boring roads 10-15 miles to get to the interesting roads.

I'm also trying to wear out my rear tire (at least) so I can replace the rubber before FerrySTOC. Still looks like it will go the 1000 miles I thought it would when I last mentioned it when I had 6000 miles on the odometer. Now I have 6588 miles on the clock. I also may end up changing the oil and filter at the same time just to get it done. The front tire looks like it is wearing a lot slower... which is good.
 
Today I took a short ride out east to get away from the city for a while. Rode about 31 miles to Strasburg. There is a gentleman who collects farm tractors. Met him (Russ) and he showed me all of his collection and explained how he got into tractors collecting. Very interesting. Most of his tractors are John Deer units. If you ever get out to Strasburg stop in and say hi, Chuck sent you.

I wanna go ride today...
But the wind is 38 mph with higher gusts! 🌬️💨
Now, if I can only guarantee I can keep it as a tail wind the entire ride then that would be OK. More likely is that I'd end up with a head wind going both ways with significant wind coming from either side. So I'll wait. :frown:
 
Took an early morning run up to the Rock Store for a breakfast burrito (you'll know what a python feels like passing a pig after eating one) and some BS-ing. Got a little vitamin T (essential for mental health) in the process.
 
rode for almost 200 miles before I went into work. It was a great day. I had to go through the twisty mountain roads to get where I was going and avoid the interstate.
I didn’t particularly enjoy having to downshift to first gear for some of those 20 MPH rated curves but it was better than running
the superslab .
I decided to take a shortcut and see a couple roads I’ve never been on before I ended up on a road that very few people go on because the county never paved it it started out paved when I first turned down it but then it changed the gravel and was gravel for the rest of its length until it intersected another road.IMG_1854.jpegIMG_1857.jpegIMG_1837.jpeg
 
So this afternoon and evening pulled the Carbs out of the ST adjusted the idle mixture screws to 2.5 turns out and balanced the Carbs. Had to Teflon tape the restriction valve screws on my gauge set. Hopefully now it's accurate. Tomorrow afternoon hopefully will get to test ride my work. Y'all have fun on the roads but be safe G
 
Took the boos lady for a 135 mile ride today. Stopped in Damascus for fuel than off to saltville, stayed on 91 to 601 through tannersville to 16. Took a left and over to thompson valley. Was going to stop at the little store for a drink and break but unfortunately it is no more so a turn around and back on 16 to marion. Chalk up another trip on the back of the dragon and back to shady valley. Of course we had to stop at the country store for some hand dipped ice cream and visit with friends . All in it was a wonderful 135 mile day :bannana:
