Yeah. That looks pretty safe there, but the year my F800GT's rear axle bearing went out, I was going along telling myself to pay attention. There's no guardrail for most of it and I had raging rapids to my right and a shear rock wall to my left. No shoulder. No room for error. If you go off the road, you either go splat or you're gone before anyone can tell where you went. And then the rear axle disintegrated once I got back into town. If it had been out there...I wouldn't be typing this.
But gosh, it is fun.
If you're ever passing through, the road from Lewiston to Kamiah is also like this. Stay the night in Kamiah at the KOA, then ride out to Elk City for the day. Afterwards, continue on Hwy 12 over Lolo Pass. That whole area should be considered a "bucket list" ride.
