Yeah, it’s older, and definitely a much different bike from the ST which does the long distance stuff for me. But man, the Magna is such a fun bike and it’s really the only thing I can fault it for. Congrats on your new ride. I always enjoy the bonding period with a new bike. Ride safe!

Did a Saddlesore 1000 ride last week which ended at 1130 miles in 24 hours, then I got a hotel and in the A.M. rode 200 more miles home. I haven't been on the bike since then!!
But I'm riding to a motorcycle group meeting tomorrow morning, which will probably be followed by a couple hours of pleasure riding.

Must be the weekend, lots of rain but managed to get out a couple times during the week; caught up with the owner of a 1969 BMW as a Wednesday night gathering was winding down. Looks like this one. Quite an interesting bike, shaft drive front and rear wheels are interchangeable the guy explained how the bike is sort of built for side car configuration and how the front geometry works to keep things stable.

I rode up to a local car show. Only about forty entries, I never even got off the bike.
Been doing mundane stuff like riding to the gym, or riding to work. Haven't taken a ride just to ride. If things go sideways in the Persian Gulf I'm guessing there will be a whole lot of bikes on the road...

Short ride today. 63 miles Spearfish Canyon Hwy. 
went riding about 200 miles with a friend --we went from the Atlanta area into Alabama, spent maybe a 70 or miles in Alabama, and then came back towards Atlanta.
For about 30 of those miles on one of the US highways we traded motorcycles!
So he got a ride a ST 1300 because he's interested in buying one of those (but not mine) and I got to ride a type of bike I've never been on before: a very tall but lightweight Yamaha Tracer 900 .

Just out for a quick ride before dinner, went out on Favorite highway to Delta Port and the Ferry terminal, which just unloaded as I was getting close. So pulled over a the lock out spot.

Left WI yesterday rode to Oneonta NY then today rode back roads through the Catskills and Berkshires on my way to Buzzards Bay, MA. Sorry no pictures.
Rode the ST to work and home in the boiling heat. Display said it was 100 until I got outside 270, then it quickly cooled off to 98!

Well it has been a month and I ran out of German rolls, so I needed to make another German Bakery run to the Springs. For this mission the FJR got the call. Left around 07:00 and was back home at 11:00. Rode down Highway 83 and then 12 miles of I-25 to Wimberger's Old World Bakery & Deli. Acquired the goods and then back up the Freeway to Monument, Colorado to pick up Highway 105 north back to Aurora.

Rode down to Deckers Corner and then along the North Fork of the South Platte River. Took the NT1100. 120 miles round trip. Left the house at 7:45 and was home by 11:15 before the noon and afternoon heat was upon us. Going to be over 90 in the City today.

Had to wash off the dirt from South Dakota. Of course you have to ride to the get the rest of the water out the nooks and crannies. Where should we ride? Ice cream of course. This place had flights of ice cream. They even had a 10 flight one.

I got the notrun out for the first time in a year and a half for a 155 mile ride. I went through the carbs and gave it a new battery last week. Went up 80 and stoped at the brige ove th holston river than over hayters gap than to saltville for some hydration. From there i went 91 to freestone valley rd to 16. I took a left on 16. Stopped at the north end overlook for a picture. From there i went south to the overlook at the south end for another picture. I continued on through marion to chilhoue for gas. From there i took whitetop rd for another picture stop at the skulls gap overlook. Than on to konnorock and 58 to Damascus and home.

Yesterday, our own JRob completed his certification ride for Iron Butt Association Membership. Starting in Spokane very early, we popped over to Big Sky, MT, and then Big Timber, MT, before heading back. Got the 1000 miles well under the 24 hr time limit. We even beat my time from my first cert.
